How To Keep Our Manes From Frizzing In Wet & Humid Weather

This rainproof mane tricks should help you survive humidity and rain if you are caught without a raincoat or umbrella.

REDUCE HIGH POROSITY

Start with a No-SLS routine. Avoid washing your hair with sulfates, these not only damage your hair but cause the cuticle to open. If your cuticle is open or damaged, it absorbs humidity and easily promotes frizz. To help seal in the cuticle, use shampoos and conditioners with a balanced gentle lather.

After washing your hair, avoid rough drying with a towel. Instead, blot-dry with a towel before blow-drying to remove excess water. The same applies if you're caught in a rain shower - just blot your wet hair with a paper towel avoiding making matters worse.

USE A MEDIUM TO HIGH HOLD LEAVE IN CONDITIONER

With your hair clean and slightly damp prep your style with a good styling cream that provides hold and anti-frizz while sealing and protecting your cuticle. See the Loba Mane Styling Cream and learn if it's suitable for your hair type.

DRY YOUR MANE ASAP

After washing, blot-drying and applying your styler, dry your hair immediately. This will lock the style and prevent frizz in the drying process. If you get caught by the rain avoid touching and dry as soon as possible.

AVOID TOUCHING YOUR HAIR

Humidity sometimes can make the hair inevitably porous. When you touch it in this state you can push in the humidity causing the cuticle to lift even more and making this visibly frizzy.

SLEEP ON SILK

A silk pillowcase or scarf is a must to avoid next day frizz.
